This sketch is based on a notan study that was done on location. Painting with some separation from the spring greens allows me to be much more creative with the color choices.
This isn't the first time in 17 days that a sketch didn't survive the morning after. There are a couple of passages in it that might be useful, but nothing that I haven't painted before. I thought the composition was weak, so I scraped everything off and used the panel for something else.
