Wicket. 12x12, oil on linen panel. 2015.
The wild rabbits living in our neighborhood are always at risk of being painted.
This little chap was hiding under a bush the other day when I managed to take his picture without spooking him. He still had his winter coat and was adorably fluffy.
The surface is medium linen mounted on panel. It has four coats of primer and the weave of the linen has been mostly filled, making it easy to work with. This is done with my "Rabbit Palette": cobalt blue, burnt sienna and yellow ochre plus white.
