Lowlands
A larger-size landscape with a heavily textured deep yellow foreground. The painting was done with a limited palette of raw umber and cadmium yellows.
Orchard Point
A view of the Pacific Northwest shore as seen from the Bremerton Ferry. The painting uses reversed gradients of warm-cool colors in the trees and sky.

This started out as a plein air painting that I did on the beach at Carkeek Park. I worked on it for over a year back in the studio.
